Call for Abstracts
The SEMDSA 2026 Congress will showcase the latest research and interesting findings related to endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, from both clinical and basic science perspectives.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must be made online via the website; submissions sent by email will not be considered.
- All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee.
- The Committee reserves the right to reassign any submission to an oral or poster presentation and to amend its category, irrespective of the preference indicated during submission. Preference will be given to original research that has not been published or presented previously.
- Presenting authors of accepted submissions are responsible for registration fees, travel, and accommodation. Sponsorship is not provided by the Organising Committee; presenters are encouraged to seek their own if required.
- All accepted abstract presentations are required to be delivered in person; virtual presentations cannot be accommodated.
Submission Deadlines
- The deadline for abstract submissions is 06 March 2026 (Late Breaking Abstracts). Registrars are especially encouraged to submit.
- The corresponding author will be notified by email of the review outcome. All submissions will be acknowledged, with acceptance or rejection letters sent by 20 March 2026.
- Full registration, including payment, must be completed by 25 March 2026.
Submission Structure
- Submissions must be in English only.
- The abstract title should be in sentence case and not exceed 25 words.
- The abstract body should be in paragraph form and not exceed 350 words. Abstracts submitted in ALL CAPS will not be considered.

Oral/Poster abstracts should include the following subheadings:
• Background: Briefly describe the objectives of the study or investigation.
• Methods: Outline the basic procedures, study subjects and analytical methods.
• Results: List the main findings, giving specific data and statistical significance.
• Conclusion: Outline the principal conclusion. -
Case Presentations should include the following subheadings:
• Introduction: Briefly describe the relevance or purpose of the case.
• History and Examination Findings: Outline the history and clinical examination findings.
• Investigation: Include relevant investigations, results, and any interventions or management performed.
• Conclusion: Highlight the main learning points and clinical significance of the case. - Provide the full name, surname, affiliation, and country of all authors, listing the presenting author first. Do not include qualifications. Ensure all authors have approved their inclusion.
- Carefully proofread the abstract for spelling, grammar, and factual accuracy before submission. All accepted abstracts will be published as submitted.
- Complete all required fields on the online submission form accurately.
Presenters Responsibilities
- The submitting author is considered the presenting author and will serve as the corresponding author.
- All accepted abstract presentations are required to be delivered in person; virtual presentations cannot be accommodated.
- In case of emergency, a co-author may be nominated.
- Presenting authors are responsible for their registration fees. Accepted submissions will only be included in the programme once full registration and payment have been completed by 25 March 2026.
- Abstracts not complying with the required format will not be published.
